Welcome

Welcome to the new Dover School Games website (formerly the Dover SSP site). Despite the abolition of the School Sport Partnership system, the aim is to maintain and enhance much of the good work performed over the last five years by the SSP. There will continue to be a full programme of events for local Primary, Secondary and Special Schools. The Kent School Games will be taking place again in 2012 and with the Olympics in London just around the corner; it remains an exciting time for Sport both locally and nationally.

The calendar of events for the year is now on the webiste. We are extremely fortunate in Dover to have a fantastic group of Secondary schools who are keen to help fill the void left by the SSP. Each Secondary school in the area has agreed to take on at least one Primary event formerly run by the SSP. Those events not being hosted by Secondary schools are being hosted by a variety of local sports clubs, so again I am most grateful to them for their time and input.

I look forward to seeing you all over the course of the year and hopefully we can all work together to provide some fantastic sporting opportunities for the young people in the area.
